Common Core Math for First Graders That Will Blow Your Mind

I gathered a few examples of Common Core math.  The more parents get to see what inane methods they are trying to implement in the name of math, the more people can start to push back.  This is truly insane. Take a look and please pass this along to others.

Example 1:

Imagine your child in a first grade math class and here is his/her question.

8 toys are in the chest.
6 toys are on the shelf.
Which can you use to find how many toys in all?

Sounds normal, right?  Pretty straight forward, right?  Those of us who learned the fundamentals of addition know that to solve this problem you would add 8 + 6 to get the answer of 14.  However, in the land of Common Core these are the answer choices...

The "correct" answer is 10+4=14

Based on the above, this is how kids will calculate a tip using Common Core -

Example 3:

I consider myself educated and somewhat skilled in the mastery of basic addition facts.  I stared at this for a
l-o-n-g time before I figured that the "correct" answer is probably the third one and that's only because I know 14-8 = 6 and the third picture has 6 circles that are not shaded.  But again, I am just guessing...

Example 4:

I found this in a search for information on Common Core.  Except for the title at the top, I do not have an original source.

Number bonds???  Skip-count???  Common Core is just one more way for the government to have control over our young people making it easier to mold them into the type of society they really want.

Some historical quotes that really make you think:

"Give me four years to teach the children and the seed I have sown will never be uprooted."  Vladimir Lenin

"The education of all children, from the moment that they can get along without a mother's care, shall be in state institutions at state expense."  Karl Marx

"Education is a weapon, whose effect depends on who holds it in his hands and at whom it is aimed." Joseph Stalin
